This is for our road cyclists who are comfortable riding on the road and can maintain an average speed of 23-25 km/hr.
For your safety and ours, please do a self-assessment:
Riding Skill: Am I able to maintain an average speed of 23-25 km/hr across a distance of 30-40km?
Road Knowledge: Am I able to ride well on roads, including major arterial roads and can obey road rules?
Cycling Etiquette Knowledge: Am I aware of common road-cycling rules and etiquette? Can I obey and adhere to them? For information, go here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mE3U0uVa3nmrpMbxSblFSu04-77mXw0K/view
If you are able to achieve these three major things, then great - join us! If not, we kindly ask for our mutual safety that you do not join until you are ready.

We meet on Sundays, 7:15 a.m. in the morning at the north-west corner of Yonge & Finch (5650 Yonge Street). There is plenty of parking nearby, and a cafe for washrooms and snacks before the ride.
-
The distances and pace will vary depending on the selected route. The routes may even change mid-ride due to unexpected road closures, hazards, or suggestions.
Typically, the distances are within 30-80km, with an average speed of 23 to 25 km/hr.
Riders are responsible for managing their own nutrition, hydration, and mechanicals during the ride.

We are generically a fair-weather ride group. This means that we will cancel the event for a variety of weather-related risks, from heavy rain to severe heat and other hazards that could put our riders in danger.
If the weather changes during the ride (e.g., it starts raining), the ride will still continue till the group makes a decision. You are also encouraged to use your own personal discretion on weather conditions. Safety and health is number one.
-
Nope! We are simply a community group that wants to host free group rides. This is a wonderful opportunity to make friends and get active.
